My sister is an RN and she shipped this rollator to me after seeing me use a regular walker. She was afraid of the walker slipping out from under me because, when non-weight-bearing, I needed to hop on each step but there is no locking mechanism on a regular walker. The rollator has handbrakes. I am also able to put my knee on the platform and roll around as needed.
